When your printer gets little or no use for long periods, clogging will occur. This is caused by ink drying around the nozzles and even paper dust that has built up, being allowed to dry with the ink and sticking to the print head. This can sometimes be resolved by carrying out a power clean. However, this process is very expensive, as power cleaning consumes a lot of ink, which may not resolve the issue. Too many cleans can also have a negative effect by saturating the ink pads, which then goes back on to the print head!

Our powerful cleaning fluid safely removes print head blockages by flushing the ink lines and dampers
with fluid and then penetrating the inkjet nozzles themselves and clearing the blockage by dissolving the dried ink!

To remove stubborn blockages, we recommend carrying out at least 2 flushes, leaving one to
soak into the print head for at least 24-48 hours. Flushing the system will consume a fair amount of
cleaning fluid into the waste tank, so having a spare waste tank is recommended when carrying out this procedure.

Our formulated cleaning fluid is also ideal for cleaning the pads on the capping station and the wiper blade. We recommend using cleaning swabs for carrying out this procedure.

Every kit is supplied with enough cleaning fluid to carry out up to 5 flushes. Each flush requires a minimum of 40ml of cleaning fluid.
